Garth Brooks Rocks Patriot Place’s Six String Grill & Stage on Dive Bar Tour

February 6, 2020 – In a night few of the lucky attendees will not soon forget, country superstar Garth Brooks took to the Six String stage in Foxborough for the latest stop on his Dive Bar Tour.

The seven-time Country Music Association Awards’ Entertainer of the Year did not disappoint. Bursting on the stage shortly after 8 p.m. accompanied by his talented band on the fiddle, guitar and drums, Garth ripped through one top hit after another. He took the crowd of 900 strong through a rollicking set of classics, including his aptly named latest hit single “Dive Bar.” He also led the packed house in a sing-along of his smash hit, “Friends in Low Places,” went off his setlist to perform covers of George Strait’s “Amarillo by Morning” and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ in the Dark,” and ended the night with instantly recognizable number one hit “The Dance.”

The country music icon will turn 58 on February 7 and the fans didn’t let him forget it, saluting him with a rendition of “Happy Birthday” in the middle of his set. Leaving the stage slightly before 10 p.m. to raucous applause and chants of his name, Garth proclaimed that if he’s ever lucky enough to perform across the parking lot at Gillette Stadium, he would be fine if the only people in attendance were those in Six String that night.

The initial show, scheduled for December 2, was pushed back due to weather, but Garth was worth the wait! Fans from around New England traveled to Patriot Place for the once-in-a-lifetime concert, with people checking in from down the road in Foxborough and others making the trip from across New England.

Making the event even more exclusive, the only way in was through winning tickets from local country radio stations from across New England. Proclaiming that a night like this makes him feel like Superman, it was clear that the only person who enjoyed the evening more than the fans in attendance was Garth himself.

Garth will be back on the road February 22 in Detroit as part of his stadium tour, but fingers crossed he returns to Foxborough sometime soon to take a bigger stage!
