About Thee Midnight Society
Formed in early 2014, Thee Midnight Society has earned their reputation by putting on high energy shows all across New England. “They engage a crowd like no other!” They were very quickly established in the Cover band scene by winning the long time competition, “the Cape’s most Dangerous Band,” in September of 2014, which propelled them into where they are today. They are known as “creative” and “versatile” and “they really know how to play to the crowd.” Playing anything from the 50’s to today’s top 40’s, they add unique and different sounds to their sets, but also know when it’s important to give you those classic guitar solos on your favorite songs you’ve been practicing air guitar to your whole life. Every member in this band has been playing music for what feels like their entire lives. Billy Silvers is one of the best guitar players you will hear across New England. Formally a member of a progressive Rock band, his style can be both heavy and soothing at the same time. His love for both the Beatles and Metallica give him a broad range of capabilities to find that sweet spot in every song he plays. Matt Withrow is one of the most solid drummers and beat makers you can find. His love for recording music gives him an inside perspective on how things should sound which furthermore provides him with a deep connection to everything he plays. Whatever he produces, the goal is perfection and dedication to his craft. Matt Almquist is the all around musician you want in your band. He is passionate and in tune with everything he plays and his intuitiveness for music is unlike any other. He is constantly challenging himself and taking on anything that comes his way. Bass, Vocals, guitar, you name it, Matt plays it, and he plays it the best. Jess Smart is your front woman and a big stage presence. Her voice is reverberant and carrying and she will be sure to capture you in the music she sings. She is a Jack of all Musician trades, and you’ll be sure to catch her playing a multitude of instruments at every show and keeping you entertained. Thee Midnight Society is consistently adding to their repertoire of songs, lights, sound, and overall musicianship.
