September is Suicide Prevention Month, and Active Minds and the Patriots Foundation are hosting an all-day #SendSilencePacking exhibit in the upper vestibule of Showcase Cinema de Lux Patriot Place to raise awareness about youth suicide and spark crucial conversations around mental health on Thursday, September 21 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Send Silence Packing is an immersive experience from Active Minds that elevates stories centered on mental health journeys, covering themes of silence, loss, survival, and resilience.
Send Silence Packing encourages people to seek out helpful resources for themselves, friends, or loved ones. Active Minds staff and volunteers are available at each stop, and are equipped to discuss the importance of knowing the signs of suicide, intervening when a friend is in distress, and getting help for themselves when needed.
