AXEL & BYRNE RESTAURANT

At its core, Axel & Byrne is a family-inspired restaurant serving up ‘food from the road.’ Owned and operated by restaurateurs Sean & Sue Olson, the concept is the couple’s second independent restaurant inspired by culinary ties to the family. As a traveling salesman, Axel Olson ate his way through the United States, bringing back stories of diners, roadside BBQ joints, and business dinners that led to late night conversations with his wife Madeleine Byrne. Byrne, who was already taking classes as one of the first women admitted to the Cordon Bleu cooking school in New York, interpreted Axel’s stories from the road and turned them into reality. The menu at Axel & Byrne is the culmination of generations of handed-down recipes, made possible today with honest ingredients, playful culinary approaches, and bold flavors from across the United States. Located in New England’s famous Patriot Place, the modern American joint is the perfect place for foodies, game days, and family gatherings alike to dine on comfort food with conversation. Dine-in, takeout, delivery and experiential catering will all be available.
