The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster announced today that Gillette Stadium will host the league’s All-Star Game for the first time on July 16. Tickets for this star-studded event will go on sale to the general public in mid-March.
“Gillette Stadium has played host to some of our biggest weekends from our inaugural game in 2019 to training camp and opening weekend in 2021. We’re excited to return to Foxborough for the 2022 Premier Lacrosse League All-Star Game,” said Co-Founder and President, Paul Rabil. “An investor in the PLL, the Kraft family is supporting the growth of lacrosse around the world – you can expect them to roll out the red carpet for lacrosse’s superstars in July.”
The festivities get underway with the All-Star Game kicking off at 4 p.m. followed by the Skills Challenge at 7 p.m., where lacrosse’s biggest stars will go head-to-head in a variety of different skills competitions. Tickets will go on sale to the general public in mid-March, but fans can register now to be notified of presale opportunities at https://bit.ly/pllgillettepresale. Gillette Stadium also served as the host for the 2017 NCAA Division I Women’s Championships, setting the attendance record for the final game (11,668). Kraft Group President-International Dan Kraft knows the positive impact of lacrosse first-hand, as he played goalie for Tufts University in the 1980s and served on the executive Board of the 2018 Federation of International Lacrosse’s World Championships Host Committee. Kraft expressed his ongoing support for the league and his excitement to host the 2022 All-Star Game in New England as part of the PLL’s continued mission to grow the sport in the region and throughout the country.
“From hosting the PLL’s inaugural games in 2019, to hosting Opening Weekend last year, and now hosting the 2022 All-Star Game, we are thrilled to have the continued opportunity to bring the world’s best lacrosse players to Gillette Stadium,” Kraft said. “Over the years, we’ve developed an incredible partnership with Paul and Mike Rabil and the PLL and look forward to welcoming them back here again in 2022. Gillette Stadium has cemented itself as the nation’s preeminent lacrosse venue and we can’t wait to host another world-class event in the heart of a region that is deeply passionate about the sport.”
