The Renaissance Hotel
The Renaissance Hotel at Patriot Place is searching for a Kitchen Supervisor.

The Kitchen Supervisor is expected to provide training for all staff, meet quality standards, establish and enforce food specifications, portion control, recipes and sanitation. Must also control food and labor costs while maximizing guest satisfaction.

• Thorough knowledge and/or experience in food preparation, presentation, purchasing, inventory control and kitchen policies and procedures.
• Coordinate activities and direct training of in preparing, cooking, and serving foods to ensure efficient and quality food service.
• Select, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel associates in the kitchen. Schedule staff according to business levels.
• Maintain inventory; estimate food consumption and purchase or requisition food and non-food items necessary for kitchen operation.
• Process invoices and monitor department expenses
• Direct staff in sanitation and sanitary food handling.
• Ability to communicate and develop an effective working relationship with fellow employees and supervisors.

1. Run food orders from the kitchen to guest tables and descibe plates to guest in a prompt manner.
2. Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all tables.
3. Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations with necessary equipment including silverware & linen.
4. Serve guests with water, bread and butter to begin their dining experience.
5. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
