Finale on IceFOXBOROUGH, Mass. (February 26, 2013) – Winter Skate at Patriot Place presented by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, a popular outdoor ice skating venue, will host a figure skating spectacular on Sunday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m. “Finale on Ice” will mark the end of the 2013 skating season at Winter Skate. Admission is $5, with proceeds benefiting the Hockomock YMCA’s “Reach Out for Youth” Initiative.

“Finale on Ice” will feature 25 performances by 38 local competitive figure skaters, all with ties to the New England area. Among them are Jade Esposito, a fifth-grader at Newton Country Day School, and Nathan Rensing, a freshman at Wachusett Regional High School, who together won the silver medal at the Eastern Sectionals in 2012 and placed seventh in the nation at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in January 2013; Adrian Huertas, a sophomore at Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Mass. who has medaled at the New England Regional Figure Skating Championships for the past six years; Jenna Rehab, a graduate student at Boston University who traveled with the Disney on Ice Dare to Dream tour this past year; U.S Figure Skating Gold Medalist Kyoko Yano, a student at the University of Rhode Island and CCRI; and The Ocean State Theatre on Ice team, the first and only theater on ice team in Rhode Island and the 2012 National Open Theatre on Ice Champion.

Henry Son, the national announcer for U.S Figure Skating, will announce the show, which will be directed by Ashley Brouillette with music by Creative Music Productions. The event is sanctioned by U.S Figure Skating and sponsored by the Pawtucket and Providence Figure Skating Club.

Winter Skate is located at Patriot Place, adjacent to Route 1, near the Renaissance Hotel & Spa. It is steps from Patriot Place’s north marketplace, which offers a wide variety of shopping and dining options, a 14-screen movie theatre and one-of-a-kind attractions like The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon.
