Kenny Chesney will play summer show at Gillette Stadium
Chesney’s ‘No Shoes Nation’ Tour stop in Foxborough is Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013. Tickets on sale Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.
Kenny Chesney announced on Thursday that he will return to Gillette Stadium on August 24, 2013, making a summer stop in Foxborough for the eighth time since 2006.
Chesney has helped make the annual New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium the largest concert series in New England, selling out Gillette Stadium each year from 2006 to 2009, and then again for two nights each in 2011 and 2012. He has played more shows at the stadium, which opened in 2002, than any other artist.
The Corona Light Presents Kenny Chesney's 'No Shoes Nation' Tour will feature special guest Eric Church - whose critically-acclaimed album 'Chief' was named 'Album of the Year' at the 2012 CMA Awards - as well as Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves.
“I believe what we've created on the road is something special,” said Chesney. “The fans, myself, the band, the crew. But it's really the fans who have given us a wonderful, unique life. What we've all built together is the 'No Shoes Nation.' There is no better name for this tour.”
‘No Shoes Nation’ marks 20 years of touring for Chesney, who Billboard declares the “biggest ticket seller in country music and among the elite touring artists in the world,” and comes on the heels of his wildly successful 2012 ‘Brothers of the Sun’ Tour, which blew away more than 1.1 million fans across the country - his 10th consecutive tour to hit that ticket sale milestone.
